What is EFT and EFFT

Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) is a collaborative and empathically responsive approach that is designed to help you accept, Express, Regulate, make sense of and transform your emotions. In EFT, emotions are also a guide for individual choice and decision making. EFT is an evidence-based treatment that also focuses on the development of emotional intelligence and on the importance of secure relationships. This means that you are guided by the therapist in accessing and working with your emotional experience in a new way so that you can deal with your problems and ultimately help yourself feel better and more connected to yourself and others. EFT can help you to identify, understand, use and manage emotions in healthy ways to relieve distress , communicate effectively, connect with others, and overcome challenges in life. Therefore, in EFT you can experience aspects of yourself that you have not consciously felt or may have previously disclaimed, dismissed, or pushed away. ...

Through EFT, you may start to view your emotions as valuable sources of information instead of painful or difficult states. This can support the process of experiencing your emotions, rather than suppressing them and have abilities to regulate and cope in healthier ways.

Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) is a therapeutic approach that believes the best way to work with children who have difficulties managing their emotions and behaviors is to empower parents to learn the skills to support them. In fact, it is most therapeutically worthwhile to empower parents to help their children, regardless of age, given the important attachment between parents and children. In EFFT, the therapist’s main responsibility is to support parents to become an active agent of healing for their children. Parents are supported to increase their involvement in: (1) interrupting symptoms and supporting health-focused behaviors, (2) helping their child to process explicit and implicit emotions that may be driving problematic thoughts and symptoms, and (3) leading the repair of relational injuries if needed.

Dont be afraid of change,
it is leading you to a new beginning..
